bikespeed is an e-bike tuning company that has been around for over ten years. ‘Infected by the e-bike fever’, bikespeed removes the limiter on e-bikes.
Apart from working with the limiters themselves, bikespeed provides the complete solution, including the bike computers mounted on the bicycle’s handlebars.
The company mainly works with existing solutions from other major manufacturers, but they wanted to improve the bicycle computer for their next system. bikespeed had issues with the readability of the display on the computer, which is when they contacted us after seeing our capabilities with the front glass of such displays.
Not only was readability an issue for the computer, but they also needed a solution that could survive in the challenging conditions outdoors that the bicycle would regularly be in.
After consulting with us, we developed a solution based on Fine Hard Mat because of its anti-glare performance and excellent scratch resistance. Furthermore, the solution also has adequate UV resistance to prevent yellowing from regular sunlight exposure.
Fine Hard Mat’s properties were the perfect choice for the environment in which bikespeed’s computer is going to be used and will easily last for the bike’s and computer’s lifetime.
