To be able to guarantee this requirement from Rosenbauer AG, we collaborated with abatec GmbH to develop a suitable cover glass solution for Rosenbauer power generator RS14.
The main challenge for Rosenbauer AG was to ensure excellent readability in different conditions while having good impact resistance. Because of the power generator´s use case, the display had to be easily read in bright conditions
To overcome these challenges, the cover glass solution for the unit controller is a custom 9030 polycarbonate with a Hard Mat™ surface treatment. Polycarbonate’s impact resistance and Hard Mat’s anti-reflective qualities make the display robust while being easy to read in different kinds of outdoor lighting.
This makes our solution the perfect choice for Rosenbauer’s power generator RS14.
