With a clear hard-coting, the durability and resistance to scratching, impact, and environmental factors are enhanced:

Scratch Resistance: A hard-coating helps protect the PMMA from everyday wear and tear, reducing the likelihood of scratches and abrasions.
Impact Resistance: It can also in some cases improve the material’s resistance to impacts and reduce the risk of cracking.
Enhanced Clarity: A high quality hard-coating maintains (or even enhances) the optical clarity of the PMMA, ensuring that the material remains in good shape during the device’s life-cycle.

There are different options available if you’re looking for a hard-coated PMMA solution.

Pre-configured solutions such as Cleartech™ and Hardtech™ are great options that can be mechanically processed exactly according to your drawings. Fine Hard Mat™ is also possible, which is a solution with both hard-coating and anti-glare properties.

Furthermore, it is also possible to have our own cast clear acrylic, Solaris™ S000, coated with surface treatments such as HC Clear™ or Hard Mat™.
