NIMMSTA is a German company founded in 2019. The company produces a freehand scanner with a touch display which aims to optimize logistics and efficiency for employees in a large variety of industries.
With their innovative Industrial Smart Watch, NIMMSTA has both literally and figuratively freed logistic workers´ hands, enabling them to be more time-efficient.
Since a key function of NIMMSTA’s devices is the barcode scanner, they needed a cover glass solution that didn’t compromise the scanner’s durability or performance.
Despite high technical requirements for the cover glass, NIMMSTA was also still looking for a solution that was more affordable than glass.
After close dialogue about the device’s design and technical requirements, we sent a sample to NIMMSTA of a customized PMMA solution for their device.
The sample was an an acrylic AR/AFP solution that is scratch- and shock-resistant specifically for the smart watch’s requirements while maximizing the performance of the barcode scanner.
By being solution-oriented and keeping NIMMSTA’s requirements in mind, we managed to provide a solution that fulfilled all their requirements for their cover glass solution.
