Solaris™ S306 is a near-infrared (NIR) filter that blocks the entire visible spectrum and ultraviolet light, but has high transmittance in the NIR range.
This results in an optical filter that looks completely black to the human eye but transmits NIR wavelengths to the camera or sensor behind the device. Therefore, it is virtually impossible to identify your device’s electronics and optical components. Therefore, S306 is a highly efficient long-pass filter, allowing only NIR light to reach the sensors behind the cover glass.
The near-infrared filter absorbs the entire visible spectrum and ultraviolet light and delivers maximum transmission in the NIR range.

Solaris™ S306 is specifically designed for applications utilizing near-infrared light, such as machine vision applications, iris scanners, LIDAR applications, TOF devices, and facial recognition systems.
